Confirmation Statements

Limited Companies must file a confirmation statement at Companies House each year. If you have an accountant, we can do this for you.

What is a confirmation statement?

A confirmation statement is confirmation that the information held at Companies House about your company is correct.

You still need to file one even if there are no changes to report.

When is the confirmation statement due?

Once a year you must file a confirmation statement, you can file one sooner if you need to update information such as a change to your company sic code.

How much does it cost?

If you file online, your confirmation statement costs £13. Alternatively, you can file a paper version which costs £40.

Will I get a reminder?

Companies House will send you a reminder when your confirmation statement is due.

What if I don’t file?

If you don’t file your confirmation statement then your company may be struck off.
